Evanescent

adjective
1.passing out of sight; fading away; vanishing
2.ephemeral or transitory

When I think of something that is evanescent I think of the gossamer wings of fairies or dragonflies. Something you can see but that is thin and ethereal, flimsy, light, or very delicate.

It is a beautiful word that brings to mind beautiful, light and airy creatures of fantasy.

Muse

  1. Greek Mythology. Any of the nine daughters of Mnemosyne and Zeus, each of whom presided over a different art or science.
    1. A guiding spirit.
    2. A source of inspiration.
  2. A poet
A muse can be any person you meet in your lifetime that opens you up to yourself in a deeper more positive way and becomes the catalyst for change in you. A guiding spirit that brings the best out of you and makes you better and more of yourself than you have ever been. They will definitely be a source of inspiration to you and maybe even encourage YOU to be inspirational for others. Whatever things they bring you can be sure that they are things that help you to learn and grow and be better than you were before they came.  If you are lucky enough to have or find a muse then you should cherish every moment, every lesson. I appreciate MINE and I will ALWAYS.

Power

For a long time I have believed words have power.
Look at all the times hurtful things cut us so deeply.
I am learning and expanding my thoughts and feelings to understand
that it is better to use words wisely and with intent and consequence in mind always.
So I choose to use my words with the responsibility and full weight of consequence in my mind.

I choose to follow the following affirmation:
Positive thinking is even stronger when it is verbalized by our voices.
There is definitely power in our words.

SO
I choose to try to find the positive in everything and anything.

AND

I choose to try to always:
support,
encourage,
uplift,
understand
and respond
to ALL with as much
patience and love as I can.

Verisimilitude

Verisimilitude

I love this word. This is what author's use in fiction stories to make their fiction feel more real and believable.
I'm writing a blog of practice topics and poems that I call Verisimilitude because it is the feeling of my truth. Well I hope it is anyway. I hope when you read them it will be evident who and how I am. If you would like to read my blog you can find it HERE. Thanks. :)

Desire

Desire: to wish or long for; want

Hmmm.....don't we all want things....don't we all wish to obtain the desires of our hearts.

I wish for things sometimes that I have had but have gone away...
like a first kiss....or the way your lover looks at you when everything is new...when he can't take his eyes off you and everything you do is an opportunity to touch and show affection for each other.

I know that to be together for a long period of time slows this newness or changes it into something different...it isn't firsts anymore but more the comfort you find in knowing he's still here and still the same and still in love...but I desire a newness again.

Boredom

Boredom: a condition wherein one finds their environment dull, tedious, and lacking in stimulation

This is me lately. I am just bored out of my skull!
I am having a hard time finding anything interesting or entertaining. Even movies which I usually enjoy bore me to tears. I don't know what to do about it but, I wish I did.

I should be writing I guess...maybe at the very least doing so would actually entertain me!
I just don't know what to write about as usual.

So...what do you do when you are bored?
I'm going to go try and have an entertaining, intellectual conversation with my hubby who is home sick today. Maybe that will be interesting.
